After a lovely Christmas/New Year break it was right back into the swing of things for Swish Design. The first thing to deal with was that our new designer Connor, decided to move to the UK! So that caused a little headache but I managed to find a replacement quite quickly … my brother Rory. So Swish Design is now a family affair. Rory and I did our multimedia training together eight years ago and while I went off to work for an agency, Rory managed the Quick Colour Print franchise in West Perth. He brings a different “eye” and style to Swish Design as well his expertise and it is my pleasure to welcome him to the team!

Which brings me to the next exciting news … I am going to Europe! But don’t stress, it’s only for 3 weeks :o)

It’s been my dream for a while to experience the history and culture of Europe so on April 6th I will be running the Paris Marathon (what better way to explore the city?!) and after that will be heading off on a whistle stop tour of Western Europe with a husband, mum and dad in tow! Rory will be flying solo and looking after things while I am away. Please be nice to him!

Other than that, 2008 has kicked off well for Swish Design as we have forged some new and important partnerships which means we are now able to deliver our services at an even higher level than before! Finally I have to give my hubby a mention for a recent achievement. A retired basketballer, he has been keeping me company during some of my marathon training runs on these dark Perth mornings. Last weekend we ventured down to Mandurah to participate in a client’s event – the Mandurah Island Challenge. We both ran the 6.5km race and both came away with medals in our category! Ant was very proud of himself!
